Our Lady Academy proudly announces that senior Elizabeth Simpson has been named a National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalist, and fellow senior Aubrey Canzoneri has been recognized as a National Merit Commended Student.

These prestigious distinctions, awarded by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), place both students among the top academic performers in the nation based on their outstanding PSAT/NMSQT scores, academic achievements, and overall excellence.
Elizabeth Simpson, one of approximately 16,000 Semifinalists nationwide, now has the opportunity to advance to the Finalist level and compete for one of the 7,250 National Merit Scholarships to be awarded in the spring of 2026. Her selection as a Semifinalist reflects her exceptional academic performance, dedication to learning, and leadership both inside and outside the classroom.
Aubrey Canzoneri is among the top 34,000 students across the country recognized as Commended Students for their remarkable performance on the PSAT/NMSQT. This honor highlights Aubrey’s consistent academic excellence and strong potential for future success.
“Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success,” commented a spokesperson for NMSC “These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic excellence.”
“We are incredibly proud of Elizabeth and Aubrey for their accomplishments,” said Leigh Chapman, Assistant Principal of Our Lady Academy. “These recognitions are a testament not only to their hard work and intellect but also to the supportive community of educators and families who have encouraged their growth every step of the way.”
Founded on academic rigor and faith-based values, Our Lady Academy continues to uphold a tradition of excellence in preparing young women for leadership, service, and lifelong success.
