5K Run for Mercy Raises Funds for Mary Alice Benvenutti and Coach Harry Hull Scholarship at OLA

A beautiful cloudless day set the stage for the annual 5K Run for Mercy, a charity run organized to benefit the Mary Alice Benvenutti and Coach Harry Hull Scholarship at Our Lady Academy. This heartwarming event, held along the scenic beach in Bay St. Louis, drew participants, sponsors, and volunteers alike, all coming together to support a worthy cause.

The Mary Alice Benvenutti and Coach Harry Hull Scholarship is a testament to the commitment of Our Lady Academy (OLA) to provide Catholic education to deserving students. This scholarship is designed to help a student continue her education at OLA, nurturing her faith and education in a supportive environment.

The success of the event was made possible by the generous contributions of sponsors and volunteers who shared the vision of empowering young women through Catholic education. The 5K Run for Mercy was designed to be a family-friendly event, encouraging participants of all ages to come together for a day of fitness and community spirit. Participants were greeted with clear skies and perfect running weather, creating an ideal setting for the event. Thanks to Kelly Cannon State Farm and Mike Meyers State Farm, the event was made even sweeter with Sweet Escape, who provided delicious sno-balls for all to enjoy.

"We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the community for the 5K Run for Mercy," said Karli Corr, Advancement Director at Our Lady Academy. "The funds raised from this event will go directly toward ensuring that a young student can continue her Catholic education at Our Lady Academy. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the sponsors, volunteers, and participants who made this event possible."

The success of the 5K Run for Mercy not only celebrated the spirit of unity and generosity but also reaffirmed OLA's dedication to providing quality Catholic education to young women, nurturing their spiritual and intellectual growth.
