Some OLA Facts
Youth-In-Government – two of the last four youth governors in the state were OLA students and the only female governors EVER were OLA students
The OLA faculty averages 19 years of teaching experience
52% of the OLA faculty hold advanced degrees
In 2009, 89% of OLA seniors received one or more scholarship offers

In 2008, 82% of OLA seniors received one or more scholarship offers

In 2007, 74% of OLA seniors received one or more scholarship offers

In 2006, 83% of OLA seniors received one or more scholarship offers

The class of 2009 (45 students)  received over $3.6 M in scholarship offers

The class of 2008 (47 students) received over $2.7 M in scholarship offers

The OLA class of 2007 received over $2.6 M in scholarship offers

In 2008, 21 of 47 graduating seniors earned a 30 or higher in English on the ACT (45% of the class)
The OLA soccer team was MS state champion in:

100% of athletic resources go toward girls’ sports
OLA has eight students who have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship program in the last three years.
In 2007-2008, 29 seventh graders (48% of the class) were recognized as Duke TIP scholars.  Seven earned state recognition.
On the National Latin Examination, over the past three years, OLA Latin I students have earned 1 summa cum laude, 2 maxima cum laude, 6 magna cum laude, and 3 cum laude award(s).  In Latin II, OLA students earned 4 maxima cum laude, 2 magna cum laude, and two cum laude awards.
100% of the classes of 2008 and 2009 were admitted to college.
